A lot of things that Exie does, she is doing for the first time, so it is very easy to come up with “firsts”:

6/30: met Stella & Spencer for the first time (they visited in the NICU)
7/2: met Ama (“grandma” in Chinese; Susan’s mom) for the first time, and had a video chat with Akong (Susan’s dad) who is currently in Taiwan
7/3: first walk in the neighborhood (I carried her to Walgreens to buy some stuff for Susan. No sling, no stroller, just carried her. Several people came over to look at the new baby and remark about her general cuteness, and one late-twenty-something grubby-guy commented that I should be more careful and use two hands. So I knocked him out with my free one.)
7/4: first doctor appointment (yay for Dr. Noland making housecalls)
7/6: met cousins Oslo and Rio, Uncle Dug (Grace’s brother) and Aunt Shawn
7/10: rec’d first piece of mail (which was a very cool baby gift from Uncle Kirby and Aunt Fran – they made a charitable contribution in Exie’s name: 3 little pigs were given to a family in Latin America to help them on their way to a more sustainable financial situation)
7/10: got back up to birth weight (baby’s usually lose a bit in the first week and then gain it back in the second)
7/12: first family outing (we all went to Stella’s birthday party)
7/13: umbilical cord remnant fell off (coincidentally this is also Exie’s due date)

7/13: met Kinch & Heather
7/14: first wall-splattering poo (We vainly thought that we kinda’ had the hang of changing diapers, but nooooooooo! This one was a 2-parent alarm, all-hands-on-deck, swab the walls, poosplosion.)
7/18: while we’re talking about poos… first up-the-back poo (we’d heard about these, so forceful that they shoot out of the diaper, but hadn’t experienced one yet)
7/19: Exie’s social security card arrived (there’s a line where she’s supposed to sign it… um… okay)
7/20: first eye infection (bummer)
7/21: first time the camera’s facial recognition software decided that Exie does indeed have a face
7/21: rec’d first “mix tape” (well… okay… it’s a mix-CD from Mike & Kenly called “Sleep Exie, Sleep” – what an awesome present)
7/21: first bath in a real tub (albeit a plastic tub that sits next to the sink) as opposed to sponge back or a dip-her-in-the-sink bath)
7/27: sucked her thumb for the first time, but honestly, we think it was just an accident
