nothin’ but a hound dog

In the first month, while it is certainly fascinating to watch your baby develop, you do sometimes feel like it doesn’t really matter who is holding her and changing her diaper and rocking her to sleep for hours on end (of course, it *does* matter, it just kinda’ seems like it doesn’t). Fortunately, as early as the second month, you can at least imagine that she’s figured out who you are and… well… she gives a hoot. By the third month, you can have “conversations.” To a non-parent, this may seem unremarkable, but these moments are nothing short of magical.
