I have a pretty relaxed attitude towards developmental milestones. I figure that since we’re spending so much time with Exie throughout the day, she will be fine. Nonetheless, it is difficult to completely ignore the many lists of things that advanced/average/all babies are supposed to be able to do by different dates. For some things, Exie is ahead of schedule (talking). For others, she’s behind (she hates sitting, and seems to never be in the mood to learn). I am certain, however, that her ability to read magazines is above average for her age. Therefore, like every parent, it is reasonable for me to conclude that Exie, without any shadow of a doubt, is the smartest baby in the entire world.
