To those in the audience that don’t have kids, “pulling up” refers to babies reaching a standing position on their own by using a prop of some sort (laundry basket, chair, whatever). Exie has been able to maintain a standing position on her own (after somebody else put her there) for about month now, but she started pulling up only a couple of weeks ago. The first prop was quite predictable: the laundry basket that has become her defacto toy box. But now she’s using everything she can think of to attain (or attempt to attain) a standing position. The most interesting part of the pulling up maneuver is when she goes from on-her-knees to on-her-feet without her feet actually moving. Try it someday – it’s not so easy. Here’s an example of her using the most difficult prop to-date, a wall (nothing to grab onto):

Yea, I know. A lot of video posts recently. I’m trying to keep ‘em short so they’re interesting. Hopefully that’s working.
